TERCO D.C. Welding Rectifiers Forced Air Cooled are used as power Source for manual metal Arc Welding (MMAW) jobs with bare & coated electrodes suitable for ferrous and non ferrous metals. These welding rectifiers are also used as an alternative to DC welding generators and even have an edge over DC welding generator as there are no moving parts in welding rectifier except the cooling fan which ensures almost nil maintenance cost, besides its low initial cost as compared to generator. These rectifiers can also be used as power source for plasma Arc cutting gas shielded arc welding & for Tungston Electrode (TIG) welding to do the welding of stainless steel copper alloys. TRANSFORMER
Specially designed Transformer conforming to IS : 4559 1993 having core of high grade electrical steel Welding current is regulated by latest transconductor type control continuous current variations and 3 phase full waive bridge circuit used in current Rectifier for higher efficiency and steady form, Welding rectifiers are mounted on three solid rubber wheels (Front wheels swivelling & steerable type by means of draw bar) for easy portability, bye bolts had been provided to lift the machine.

PROTECTION PROVIDED

• Both main & control rectifier protected against surges by semi conductor devices for positive protections.
• M.C.B. is provided for protection of the current controller.
• On-Off switch is provided on the front panel.

The set consists of a Heavy Duty transformer housed and secured by means of nuts and bolts in a heavy gauge steel plate tank with heavily wounded Primary and Secondary coils submerged in oil to provide cooling. The current is controlled by means of Air Gap between Primary & Secondary Coil.

The Sterco Arc welding transformers are manufactured in accordance with IS : 1851 (1997) specifications and mounted on three Cast Iron / Rubber wheels with front wheel swiveling and steerable by means of draw bar.

Construction :
The set consists of heavily copper wound Transformer fitted on heavy steel frame covered with ventilated M.S. Sheets mounted on rubber wheels, Front wheel fixed and rear wheels are swiveling type for easy portability. The current is controlled by air gap between Primary & Secondary coils by means of magnetic shunt.

Transformer :
Specially designed doubled copper wound transformer conforming to IS:1851 (1975) having core of high grade Electrical Steel Primary & Secondary coils are of electrolytic copper strips & wires covered with fiber glass and insulated with class 'F' duly vacuum impregnated.

This above machine is also available in Double Operator Model-EC (D/O).Technical specifications of each transformer of Double Operator Arc Welder will be as per Model-EC.
